Angus Cameron has been named as the new chief financial officer of Marsh UK.
In his new role, which is effective from 18 August, Cameron is to report directly to Marsh UK’s chief executive officer, Martin South, and Marc Vassanelli, chief financial officer for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
During a lengthy career Cameron has worked for a broad range of firms, including Scottish Widows, CMA Europe and Bank of New York.
He joins Marsh from Depfa Bank, where he was also employed as chief financial officer.
In commenting upon the latest appointment to Marsh UK, South has described Cameron as a senior financial leader, whose appointment amounts to a coup.
South went on to praise Cameron’s track record, adding that he would play a vital role in the firm’s ambitions for the future.
