WASHINGTON (AP) -- Federal health regulators said Friday they are reviewing an experimental use of blockbuster anemia drugs made by Amgen and Johnson & Johnson that has been associated with higher death rates in a study involving stroke patients.

Idaho governor orders agencies to cut spending
|

BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter on Friday ordered state agencies and institutions to immediately cut $27 million more in fiscal year 2009 spending and told them to delay another $40.8 million in expenditures on worries that the economy will worsen.

Magazine publisher Meredith names new CFO

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Meredith Corp., a broadcaster and publisher of magazines including Better Homes and Gardens and Ladies' Home Journal, said Friday it had hired a telecommunications executive as chief financial officer.
